Event description

Description

Hello Enablers Network Colleagues, it's Leigh Kibby here.

There has been an exciting development that has grown from the great work of the Enablers Network (EN) and you can participate. The EN is supporting the launch of the Autism Support Network (ASN).

When: Monday 28 May, 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM

Where: M101, 1 Macarthur Street, Melbourne

The ASN is all about Autism. Autism is its own unique group within the broader disability community which the EN represents. Like all disabilities, each has its own challenges and having an ASN can help address the needs of those of us on the Autism Spectrum Disorder scale.

The ASN will provide informal support to its members and be a point of reference for Victorian Government leaders regarding the lived experience of Autism.

Join us for the exciting launch of the Autism Support Network.

At the launch we'll hear from Sean McPherson about his experience in working in the Victorian Government, and from his manager about his experience managing staff with autism. We'll also talk about what the ASN plans to do to forge a way ahead.

If you require interpreters or any other reasonable adjustment, please email Matthew.Parker@dhhs.vic.gov.au
