Event description

Description

The Australian Human Rights Institute at UNSW Sydney will bring together experts from various disciplines to research solutions to human rights violations in Australia and around the world. This new initiative will make a difference to communities most in need of innovative solutions.

Join ABC broadcaster Fran Kelly, actor and voice for marriage equality Magda Szubanski and hip-hop artist L-FRESH the LION for this special launch, which will introduce the Australian Human Rights Institute’s vision and mission.

A panel discussion will explore what human rights means in Australia today, and artist Dennis Golding will present a workshop where guests can participate in an artwork commissioned to mark the launch.

We hope you will join us at the newly-refurbished UNSW Roundhouse for an event that will energise our University community – celebrating the achievements we have made, and getting motivated for the work that’s ahead of us. Refreshments will be provided.
