Description

The lobotomy crew presents:

“The Arts Lobotomy” at OPEN STUDIO in Northcote.

This is not your average gig; this is an inclusive platform for the creatives of Melbourne to showcase their work and celebrate individuality. Creating community through a multi-dimensional event for musicians, artists and designers.

Featuring:

Pop up stall by Hopeless Lingerie, a women led lingerie brand that promotes body positivity and is ethically handmade right here in Melbourne (https://hopelesslingerie.com/)

Video installations by feminist, pop culture and queer influenced digital media artist Xanthe Dobbie (http://cargocollective.com/xanthedobbie)

Live artwork and pieces for sale by Visual Artist Mon Fagioli (https://www.facebook.com/monfagioliart/).

Live music by Dr Sinha’s Jazz Lobotomy (https://www.facebook.com/jazzlobotomy/): a Melbourne based project led by Indian-Australian guitarist Chinmay Sinha, who has finally become the ‘doctor’ his parents always hoped he would be. Riding off the success of their debut single “Grown Man”, the Lobotomy explore themes of identity and culture in today’s Australia.

The support act, Eli Wolf Junior (aka Jay Jnr of Melbourne act Junior Under the Moon) is a pop, folk and jazz influenced Filipino born writer and musician.

Limited 'pay what you can' pre-sale or $5 on the door.
