The Art of Photographing Butterflies with Michael Snedic
Event Information
About this event
This workshop's aim is to teach you how to best use your camera to take quality images of a large array of butterflies. After this hands-on, 3-hour workshop, you’ll be able to do exactly that. In this course we’ll cover how to capture sharp, well-composed images of a wide variety of butterflies. Photographing butterflies close up can be quite challenging, so you will learn how to optimise your camera settings and lens configurations for extreme close-ups.
Professional wildlife photographer and Nikon School tutor, Michael Snedic will be your lecturer for this photography workshop. Throughout the day Michael will be talking about natural and flash lighting, how to avoid busy backgrounds, best use of depth of field, focusing styles and much more.
This 3 hour, hands-on photography class is presented at the Bribie Island Butterfly House, which houses not only a wide variety of butterflies but also a large number of them. In the wild, butterflies can be quite difficult to photograph, as they can be quite skittish when approached. At the Butterfly House, the butterflies are used to people so photographing them is much easier.
