The Architecture of Cyber Security

Back from popular demand, we are bringing this event back to Brisbane.


Cyber Security is a topic that gets overlooked very quickly. However, with recent changes and the ongoing development of technology, perhaps this is a topic we should all take some time and understand better.

This presentation will provide you ONE single most important thing to do to improve your cyber security. You'll also learn how to hack yourself and your business which surprisingly, requires no technical skills. Find out why the director of the company is the only one who can solve the cyber issues. Finally, walk away with a framework in how to protect your practice, your designs, your ideas and your projects.

Guest Speaker 1: Ross Marsten, Business Intelligence Security

Ross is the Founder and Chief Security Strategist for Business Intelligence Security. He has over 30 years experience in Network Engineering & Cybersecurity. Originally a Land and Engineering Surveyor, currently Ross’ time is spent running his businesses, assisting businesses who have suffered cyber breaches, and presenting Cyber briefings to boards, CEO's and Business leaders.

Guest Speaker 2: Jonathan Mamaril, NB Lawyers

Jonathan Mamaril is the principal and director of NB Lawyers, the lawyers for employers, and leads the employment law and commercial law teams. With a trade union background, Jonathan possesses unique insight into how employee advocates and lawyers work, allowing him to provide strategic and practical advice that keeps employers one-step ahead. Jonathan will providing a unique take on the cyber security and data breach issue especially for in situations where employees take (or steal) confidential information, policies that should be in place to protect the business, client agreements and data, clauses in employment contracts that should be more thoroughly checked and contractors – what are the obligations in relation outsourced workers? Jonathan will provide practical observations in regards to non-disclosure agreements and confidential documentation and steps companies can take to protect themselves.
