About this event
After 8,000 hours of work over four years, The Andamooka Tiger is complete. See the Tiger unveiled at Cal the Stoner’s Outdoor Stonemasonry Studio. Intricarved with pre-vegetation era Grampian Sandstone and featuring Andamooka Opal eyes, claws, tail & teeth. Launched by former Federal Labor Senator, the Hon. Chris Schacht.
Visit the studio, meet the artist and view the Andamooka Tiger from 2pm, the official unveiling under the lights is at 7:30pm.
Music during the event was curated by artist Cal the Stoner, with a guest live performance by Aussie Stoner Rock band, Death by Carrot.
Supported by Australian Government regional arts fund, Country Arts SA, Regional Arts Australia, Andamooka Observatory, Andamooka opal showroom & underground museum, Dukes Bottlehouse Motel, Andamooka Cellarbrations, and Andamooka Opal Fields Tourism Association Inc.
