The AGM at 11am will be preceded by an engaging presentation for members at 10am by Dr Red Ruby Scarlet on the current and topical theme of Exploring the Places and Spaces of Educators in the ‘New Normal’.

Dr Red Ruby Scarlet is an activist, early childhood teacher-researcher, consultant, artist and academic. She will be speaking to the idea of what we can achieve in this ‘new normal’ we are currently in and whether we should be approaching this as an opportunity to establish a ‘new different’ in early childhood spaces instead.

She acknowledges that we have an opportunity to reinvent pedagogical practices in this current and post COVID-19 world, and wants to explore these opportunities with us by engaging in a critical dialogue together.

The presentation will be followed by this year’s Annual General Meeting which is an amazing opportunity to close out a very tumultuous year with a plan for what’s next. An unmissable event!
