Options and renewals are one of the most critical and most commonly mishandled components of commercial property management.

Missed option dates, incorrect notices, poor record-keeping or misunderstandings around retail versus non-retail requirements can quickly escalate into disputes, lost leasing rights, and serious risk exposure for agencies and their clients.

This practical workshop focuses on the process, timing and decision-making required to manage options and renewals correctly across both retail and non-retail assets. It is designed to help practitioners confidently navigate option clauses, issue notices correctly, and manage owner and tenant expectations without exposing the agency to unnecessary risk.

The session takes a practical, operational approach concentrating on real-world workflows, documentation and communication rather than legal theory and highlights where agencies most often get into trouble.
