A Practical Workshop for Commercial Property Managers
This workshop is software-agnostic and recognises that agencies manage commercial property using a mix of residential PM systems, commercial platforms and external registers with varying levels of capability.
Commercial property management places very different demands on systems than residential portfolios. Longer lease terms, complex documentation, compliance obligations and higher financial risk mean residential PM software often struggles to adequately support commercial requirements.
This practical workshop focuses on how to build clear, reliable systems and checklists that may work with your existing software and where necessary, outside it to support consistent, defensible commercial property management.
Rather than relying on memory or individual workarounds, participants will learn how structured registers, workflows and checklists reduce risk, improve accountability and support better decision-making across the portfolio.

- Using PM software effectively for commercial portfolios — and recognising system limitations
- Identifying which registers belong in-system and which must sit outside
- Core registers: leases, options, rent reviews, insurance, ESM and compliance
- Folder structures, document control and audit trails
- Workflow reminders, annual cycles and checklist use
- Transitioning messy or inherited portfolios into structured systems
- How good systems reduce errors and professional exposure
