Description

KAY Leaders is once again proud to host the Annual Korean Australian Young Professionals’ Symposium Dinner. This year’s event will be held at the Studio Rooms, Four Seasons Hotel, 199 George St, Sydney on 6:30pm Friday, 15 September 2017.

This annual event has been providing young aspiring leaders of the Korean Australian community a chance to engage in thought provoking discourse on issues such as the political participation of minorities and the existence of the ‘bamboo ceiling’ in Australia. It has also provided opportunities for young Korean Australians to meet with others in their cohort from a variety of different industries.

This year’s theme is one that hits very close to home: Korean-Australian: Strength or Weakness? We will be exploring the impact of our Korean-Australian identity on our lives as working professionals in the broader Australian society.

Elizabeth Lee MLA (ACT) Liberal Member for Kurrajong, Shadow Minister for Environment and Shadow Minister for Disability, and the first Korean Australian to be elected as a member of an Australian parliament, will be the keynote speaker for the event.

The event will also feature a much more intimate panel discussion with three other panelists and there will be a chance for attendees to ask any questions they may have through a Q&A process.

Your $60 entry fee includes a three-course meal and beverages. $10 Early Bird discount applies to tickets purchased prior to 25 August 2017.
