    Come and hear industry experts from funding, producing, touring and budgeting give you insights into how a great artist or writer with a great idea evolves to a successful, touring, funded production. This is the perfect course for FringeWorld and Blue Room work as well as WAAPA students.

    Pete is a part of the grants team for DLGSC. Together the team works on many facets of policy, infrastructure and ministerial support.

    What producers need from artists

    Rachel Whitworth - Senior Producer Performing Lines WA

    Rachael is Senior Producer at Performing Lines WA. Trained at Victorian College of the Arts, Rachael began her professional career in 1992 as a classical dancer with West Australian Ballet before working as a contemporary dancer, teacher and choreographer with Buzz Dance Theatre and many independent choreographers. She then diversified her practice, performing and creating work with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre for nearly a decade whilst completing a Graduate Diploma in Arts and Entertainment Management at Deakin University in 2000.

    What it takes to tour regionally AND Performing arts budgeting for beginners

    Ryan Taaffe - Executive Director - CircuitWest

    At CircuitWest, Ryan represents presenters, producers, artists and service organisations and has a strong focus on programming, audience development and community engagement, alongside building the capacity of the performing arts sector. Until recently Ryan was the General Manager of the Koorliny Arts Centre . Ryan studied Theatre and Musical Theatre at University and has previously worked as a Policy Advisor for Ministers at a state and federal level.
