About this event

The annual John Paul College production is an incredible community event which sees students and staff working side-by-side to create something truly magnificent.

This year's production is - The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee 🐝

This show (Friday 21 May) is Auslan Interpreted.

A musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. Originally produced on Broadway by David Stone, James L. Nederlander, Barbara Whitman, Patrick Catullo, Barrington Stage Company, Second Stage Theatre. Licensed exclusively by Music Theatre International (Australasia). All performance materials supplied by Hal Leonard Australia.

The show centres on a fictional spelling bee set in a Putnam Valley Middle School. Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn't everything.

The maximum audience capacity for the production is as per government guidelines and current COVID - 19 restrictions.

Please note that audiences will be required to wear a mask during the performance as seating will not be socially distanced for this production.
