Event description
Guided Walk - Rangers reveal the fascinating world of termites living in fire-proof fortresses

About this event

There are over 300 different species of termites in Australia and it's only a few of these that cause damage to our homes, the rest play a very important role in recycling nutrients in our environment. Litchfield National Park is home to two species that build some of the most spectacular homes in the animal kingdom. This guided walk introduces you to the world of Termites, and the reasons and methods for their different designs of homes.

Meet at the Termite Mound sign shelter.

Remember to be SunSmart and wear a hat and bring drinking water.
