Harley took up a people leadership role in 2019, becoming an “IoT Domain Engineering Chapter Lead”, where his focus was developing the skills and careers of his team of talented engineers including the next generation of graduates.

Harley’s role then expanded in 2021 to include technology leadership, becoming the “Locate and Monitor Technical Product Owner” where he has technology and delivery accountability for Telstra’s Enterprise-grade “Location of Things” platform, while continuing to maintain his Chapter Lead function.

More recently Harley has moved away from his Chapter Lead role and IoT, taking an opportunity in Telstra’s “Managed Services and Security” Group, where he is the Technical Product Owner for the “Federal Government and Tier 1 Protected Pipeline” where he leads the support of sensitive customers’ Connectivity, Security and Enterprise Service Management requirements.
