Event description

Description

As part of our space activation plan for TEDx Adelaide 2017, we are inviting volunteers to take part in an up-cycle workshop.

Our vision is to create a work of art that incorporates the Zoom Out theme, utilising materials that would otherwise go to waste.

Have you had experience working with light hand tools before? No? Great, this is the perfect time to learn! We will be making insects, bugs and other critters from various recycled metals, everything from computer parts to biscuit tins! All training and equipment is supplied, all you need to bring is your creativity! We'll be hosted by our friends at The Joinery in the city.

We have engaged the creative geniuses from Recreate, an upcycling shop and workshop in Mt Pleasant to help bring our vision to life.

Participation is free and you'll learn new skills, meet new people and have fun! We'll have water and snacks and for you, but you'll need to bring your lunch or buy it nearby.

Places are strictly limited so register now, and please let us know if you have to cancel so someone else can take your place.
