Description

By attending this workshop you will develop an awareness of the range of technology options available to support people with literacy difficulties, such as dyslexia, and develop your knowledge of technology to support reading, writing, planning and organizing writing. You will gain confidence in using technology to support curriculum access and individual education goals, and cover a variety of examples of technology that can be used to support literacy, such as reading pens.

During the workshop you will be shown a range of different computer software relating to literacy. This will include information and training in how inbuilt iPad features can be used to support reading and writing, and how you can use iPad apps to support reading, writing, planning and organising ideas.

Target audience: This workshop would be of interest to health professionals, education staff (teachers, tutors etc…), parents of children with literacy difficulties and adults with literacy difficulties.
