Event description

Description

Working in schools we continually get asked the following types of questions;

  • What new tools and technologies enhance and empower teaching and learning?
  • What is the best device for teaching and learning?
  • How do we better manage our growing number of student devices?
  • What is Virtual Reality and how does this benefit education?

If this sounds familiar, then our 1.5 hour session is designed to help you and your school better prepare and plan for the new school year.

During this session, we will;

  • Discuss and demonstrate new tools and technologies from Apple and Microsoft that enhance and empower teaching and learning
  • Profile a number of education-suitable devices for both primary and secondary schools. Look at what's new, profile capabilities, and look at price points
  • Explore new technologies specific to education, giving schools and teachers more control of devices in the classroom allowing them to focus on their core objectives – teaching and learning.
  • Discuss considerations for BYOD / 1:1 programs
  • Allow hands on experience of VR technologies for schools that raise engagement and increase knowledge retention for students

Please join us afterwards for some light refreshments, and take the opportunity for hands on access to the devices on display.

As a partner for both Department of Education and Catholic Leading Lights Project our staff would be more than happy to assist with any questions that you have during this seminar
