Teaching phonemic awareness and phonics (Face-to-face)

The explicit and systematic teaching of phonics and phonemic awareness are crucial components of learning to read. Using evidence to support the teaching of early reading skills and behaviours, this workshop focuses on the importance of scaffolding upon prior knowledge and differentiating instruction to strengthen phonemic awareness and phonics skills.
