About this Event

We acknowledge Traditional Custodians of the land and Elders past, present and future. Gukwonderuk (Wotjobaluk) is an esteemed medicine used by Aboriginal people in South East Australia.

The Gukwonderuk Indigenous Unit, in collaboration with the FMNHS Indigenous Health Curriculum Committee is committed to developing the next generation of health practitioners. We are pleased to provide this seminar aimed at developing a community of practice of higher education Educators who are innovative, committed and confident in teaching of Indigenous health.

This interactive workshop will include topics to:

  • Build your capacity to use the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Curriculum Framework for teaching and assessment
  • Build your capacity to effectively use Indigenous Health Teaching Resources
  • Enhance your understanding of Indigenous knowledge and pedagogy

When: 9am - 1pm - 20 February 2020. Registration opens 8:30am

Where: Monash university Clayton - New Horizons Building 82, 20 Research Way - Collaboration Lounge, level 4.
