Teach the Teacher Clay Play
Event Information
About this Event
"The physicality and limitless potential of clay engages our muscles, fine motor skills, vision, and imaginations" - Jo-Ann Finkelstein Ph.D. Psychology Today.
This workshop is ideal for educators and therapists who want to explore the benefits of clay play for their students and clients.
You will have the opportunity to play with clay yourself, learning basic techniques, the clay rules and experience the value of the medium for physical and mental health wellbeing. We'll also look at the practicalities of delivering clay play programs in various settings, materials and equipment requirements, OH&S and useful networks.
To enable you to pass on your new found knowledge confidently you'll also receive an electronic document that includes links to material and equipment suppliers, firing services, informative websites and occupational health and safety tips.
Michele has over 20 years experience in the preparation and successful delivery of visual art programs for tertiary and private students, special needs clients, community groups and children.
All materials and equipment and firing of your creations if required are included in the cost.
A formal tax invoice can be provided upon request.
