Chai is a strong part of the Arab culture spanning the centuries, bringing family, friends and business associates together. Consumed with or without food, tea making in the Arabic speaking world varies from region to region, country to country and within countries. Arab teas are unique and have medicinal benefits.

Come to the August ALCASA workshop to learn more about the art and meaning of Arab tea making. Mohamed, founder, owner and head chef at Marrakech restaurant will perform the art of Moroccan Mint tea making. May, co-convenor of the Marion Migrant Women's Group, will demonstrate the art and story behind Iraqi tea making. (Suitable for children and adults)
