Description

Welcome to the Tuberculosis Centre of Research Excellence Symposium 2018. This year the TB-CRE will be focusing on national TB strategies as well as TB control in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia Papua. Advancements in active case-finding, barriers to implementation science and an update on the diagnosis of drug-resistant TB will be discussed, followed by an Australasian Clinical Tuberculosis Network Workshop.

We have several noteworthy speakers confirmed including Professor Philip Hill, McAuley Professor of International Health at the Dunedin School of Medicine and Co-Director of the Centre for International Health at the University of Otago, Dr. Philipp du Cros, Infectious Diseases Specialist in the TB Elimination and Implementation Science working group at the Burnet Institute and Dr. Anna Coussens, Lab Head of the Infection and Immunity Division at the Walter and Eliza Hall institute of Medical Research.
