Event Details

Savannah Farm is a window to the future of our food system, how we buy it, grow it and eat it. Meet the faces behind this multi-generation Clare Valley enterprise, producers Michele and Phil Lally, their farm planning consultant, Regrarians Ltd. Darren J. Doherty (VIC) and one of their great inspirations, the 'world's most innovative farmer' Polyface Farms' Joel Salatin (USA). Kick the dirt with these inspirational leaders of the regenerative agriculture movement on a farm that is walking its talk and at a critical stage in its transition from a conventional broadacre wheat-sheep operation to one where its diverse products are marketed directly to its consumers and where multi-species livestock systems are profitably improving the land in a sustainable setting. Lunch will be included prepared by Paul Baker, of Grace The Establishment, with the assistance of Martin Boetz, from Cook's Coop in NSW (ex Longrain).
