Event description

Description

Join Kakadu Kitchen’s Ben Tyler and Kylie-Lee Bradford in an exclusive visit to Murdudjurl Community (Patonga Homestead) for a revealing look at the park’s bush foods and traditions.

The pair will share their firsthand knowledge of Kakadu’s culture and native produce - leading visitors through a tropical food garden, and revealing the history of the homestead. They'll talk about how Bininj live today, and how they balance living in two worlds.

Discover the many uses of the area’s plants and animals as well as their deep significance to Kakadu’s traditional owners.

Each tour is strictly limited to ten people. Don’t miss your chance to learn from two of Kakadu’s best local cooks.

Ben Tyler and Kylie-Lee Bradford (Kakadu Kitchen)

Kakadu Kitchen is all about culture, community and sustainability.

Ben Tyler and Kylie-Lee Bradford launched the concept at last year’s festival, impressing diners with tongue-tingling bush food creations like crispy cat eel tails, saltbush damper and water yam sushi.

The duo are cooking up some exciting flavour combinations for 2018 and are thrilled to be sharing their knowledge of bush foods and traditional techniques with guests again this year.
