Important Announcement: New date for the Tandem Awards.
We are excited to announce that the Tandem Awards have been rescheduled to Thursday, March 25th from 1 – 4pm.
Lunch will be served from 1pm, with the Awards Ceremony commencing at 2pm. You will be able to access the Zoo in the morning before the Awards.
In-person tickets are sold out but we would love for you to join us via Livestream.

After a challenging year, join us to celebrate the exceptional service carried out by individuals and services to family and friends in mental health. The ceremony will be catered, and entry will be free between 9am-5pm. You are welcome to make a day of it and explore the Zoo before the ceremony.
Special guests: We are excited to announce Treasure Jennings, Mental Health Complaints Commissioner and Disability Services Commissioner, will be joining us in-person for the celebrations. We will also hear from the Hon. James Merlino, Deputy Premier and Minister for Mental Health and Minister for Education, via a recorded message to attendees.

MELBOURNE ZOO
Venue: Leopard Lodge (close to both the big cat’s habitat and the Carnivores’ Trail)
TRANSPORT
Public Transport – conveniently close to the trams and trains of the Railgate entrance (Royal Park is the closest train station and a 1 minute walk)
Parking: (City of Melbourne) $2 per 5 hours which can be paid via the Paystay app and meters. There are six accessible parking bays near the main entrance of Melbourne Zoo. Seven accessible parking bays are located near the rail gate entrance.
ACCESSIBILITY
Melbourne Zoo has an easy-to-follow path system, with access and hiring options for people using wheelchairs and strollers. We recommend you book in advance for wheelchairs and strollers, please call the team on 1300 966 784.
Accessible Toilets: Melbourne Zoo has a Changing Places facility equipped with extra features such as a tracking hoist, full-sized change table, larger-than-standard accessible toilets and more space to meet the needs of people with a disability. This can be accessed with a Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK).
Access for assistance animals: Zoos Victoria welcomes visitors with assistance animals (such as guide dogs) that have completed their training and are certified by a registered authority. Please bring your certification ID with you.
