Game Description:

Tavern patrons seldom agree on details when recounting the tale of "The Day the Halflings were Attacked". Will you help us get the story straight, by speaking up as the witnesses themselves? Play out a fast and loose recount of the biggest day your small settlement saw, how it changed your view of the world, and how the world sees you now. This game is aimed at younger players, aged 9-14, and uses a cut-down version of the "World of Dungeons" rules by John Harper.

This is a story of the recent past, being told years later by Sunset Longshadow, halfling storyteller, traveller, and survivor of that fateful day. You will play the part of his friends and neighbours, and the heroic acts of courage they showed in their village’s darkest hour.

FAQs

Why does this game have age guidelines?

This session is designed for kids. The simple rules are designed so that if your child can read, add two dice and hold a conversation, then they can join us on a fantasy adventure!

I am a father of five kids ranging from 7 to 20 years of age, and I hold a valid Working With Children card. Parents are encouraged to stay to help their child (and possibly me) stay focussed and enjoy the experience with them.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring a playful and considerate attitude, and a parent. Pencil/eraser are welcome but not required.

Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?

elstiko@gmail.com
