About this event

COVID-19 has changed the global business landscape

No organisation has been untouched by the impact of the coronavirus. While some organisations are fighting for survival, others are beginning to look beyond the near term to a future that is more uncertain than ever before. Redundancies and pay cuts are widespread, and government stimuli are propping up economies like never before.

Melbourne Business School’s “Talking Business During Crisis” webinar series will explore evidence-based perspectives on how to navigate crises and real examples of how organisations around the world are responding.

In webinar 3, Sri Shivananda joins Professor Hugh Williams in conversation to discuss his experience in the COVID-19 crisis.

Learn how this crisis has changed work life at PayPal, Sri's leadership, technology delivery, and living and working in the US. In what will be a wide ranging conversation, expect the discussion to turn to the broad business climate outlook, the next phases of the COVID-19 crisis and how they are dramatically affecting online payments, how we shop, and how we deliver technology to consumers.

You'll also hear about Sri's remarkable career and his rise from software engineer to a technology leader in a major global company.
