#TakeTheStance @ THE BAY!
Our United Stance Against Abuse
Over 50% of people will at some point in their lives be directly affected by violent sexual or physical trauma, it is hard to deny that society as a whole is accepting abuse as commonplace.
We believe that society can collectively evolve beyond this widespread acceptance of abuse.
Abuse is the misuse of force, both internal and external, to cripple, to damage, to destroy, to disempower. Alternatively, martial arts is the study of the proper understanding and appropriate use of force, both internal and external, to grow, to heal, to protect and to empower.
To help trigger an evolution of the collective conscience beyond abuse, we are uniting the martial arts community in an educated and active stance against abuse, then leading the wider Australian community to create complete cultural change.
We are building empowerment programs for survivors of abuse designed to give participants back what was taken from them. Things like self-love, self-respect, confidence, stability, freedom of thought, general psychological and emotional wellbeing and happiness.
These twelve week programs are provided free of charge to all participants, upon completion participants are encouraged to continue training and remain part of a larger social environment free from the fear and the threat of abuse.
We are launching programs in suburbs across Melbourne through 2016 and 2017 and we need your help. We invite you to attend our campaign launch, with funds raised going directly to our frontline empowerment programs.
