Description

What if running could save a rainforest?

Environmental activism takes many different forms. Join us in a night of film and conversation to inspire your future environmental actions.

Premiering his latest short film, Beau Miles will tell a story of collecting discarded roadside wood and repurposing it into a paddle to propel himself down one of the great rivers of Australia - The Murray.

Emma Wasson from the Bob Brown Foundation will screen our feature film, takanya, and tell you more about how you can get involved in the fight to save this amazing place. takayna is the latest film produced by Patagonia, documenting the threat, devastation and importance of saving takayna / Tarkine. Told through the eyes of a rural doctor, who runs ultramarathon distances deep into the forest to scout logging operations, this documentary unpacks the complexities of modern conservation and challenges us to consider the importance of our last truly wild places.
