What's it all about?
A new team sport that not only provides fun and fitness for children from the ages of 5 to 15 but builds self resilience and emotional maturity.
The first sport that is suitable for all ages, sizes and ability and is targeted at strengthening a students emotional resilience and wellbeing. Push Hands is suitable for all students of all abilities and provides an alternative to those children that would not typically participate in more traditional team sports.
Children that have participated in Push Hands report a greater sense of understanding of themselves and their emotions. They tend to act out less, are more content with who they are and are more likely to reach out for help when dealing with difficult situations. They have greater confidence and will celebrate other student’s successes.
Push Hands The Game is currently being trailed in schools across Perth with the intent of it being incorporated into either curricular and co-curricular activities.
There will be resources in the way of books, DVD's, posters, training aids and a commemorative t-shirt available to purchase.
All funds raised go towards the sustaining future events.
