Event description
All welcome to visit, learn, see, touch, smell and ask your own questions in our Syntropic Farming Introductory Day, you will feel inspired!

About this Event

Humans are visual creatures, and most often then not, they will need to see it to believe it ... So here it is your chance to see it, and feel it, and touch it, and smell it, and perhaps even taste it... But most importantly, ask as many questions as your lips can fire!!

Livingness, is the place we've been playing at for the past couple of years. For us it is our home, market, laboratory, research institute, pharmacy, workplace, temple, you name it. We live and breath Livingness!!

You can be begin to experience Livingness here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxT5Ld6_iMQ&t=17s

We have literally put all theories and practices of syntropic farming to the test...It has been an immense and ever changing experience of working intimately with a magical but severely degraded piece of land. I wouldn't say that a west facing, 30-40 degree gradient, with barely a worm in the ground is prime agricultural land, or even able to feed large animals at its prime. But, if Syntropic principles are the real deal, then they should be applicable anywhere, anytime, right?

Absolutely right, and the transformation has been equally immense... Far from an abundant ecosystem at this stage, we are certainly travelling at fast successional speeds through the accumulation stages, and what was a barren ground with only some bracken ferns growing, is rapidly flourishing and becoming a place capable of feeding hungry and conscious humans. All this, without volunteers, WWOOFers, tractors and rotary hoes, but simply through human-scale agricultural practices...

It needs to be seen (and heard) to be believed...

Introductory Day objectives

To give a chance to interested people from all walks of life to see and feel the power of syntropic practices. Through direct experience of numerous systems, attendees will be able to visualise the potentials and ask as many questions as they want. Its a truly unique opportunity to start a syntropic journey and get the enthusiasm growing...

Introductory Day Content

I aim to facilitate a learning process that is balanced and objective, with quality information that is disseminated in a range of ways. The introductory day will flow in accordance to the demand and nature of participants.

Logistics

We are located about 10 minutes from Murwillumbah, NSW, 2484, Australia.

We ask all participants to arrive at 8:30, so we can start at 9am sharp.

The farming area is located on the south-eastern boundary of the property, which means that it is a fair way in and only accessible by 4x4 vehicles. Due to the fragility of the environment, the landowner and I agree that it would be best for all participants to walk in (about 15 minutes walking with some steep sections). In this way, we minimise our impact on the environment and provide an opportunity for participants to zoom into the landscape.

We ask all participants to keep their garbage and take it back home for disposal, no garbage bins will be available

The syntropic farming introductory day will end at 3pm
