Description

Sydney Concepts at Westmead is an ongoing series of conversations between expert researchers across the depth and breadth of the University of Sydney and colleagues from the Westmead Precinct. These conversations will cover exciting discoveries and innovations and are aimed at initiating new collaborative opportunities between the university and the broader Westmead community.



Fridays 11.30am-12.00pm, followed by the opportunity for questions and discussion


  • 13 October 2017: Vek Lewis, Novi Djenar and Antonia Rubino (with Nesrine Basheer, Ali Aldahesh and Irene Shidong An), from the University of Sydney's School of Languages and Cultures in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, present Community diagnosis and the management of type 2 diabetes among Arabic and Chinese speakers in western Sydney.



  • 27 October: Phillip Gough presents Telling stories with data: creative visualisation for non-expert audiences
