Description

Presented by UNSW Arts & Social Sciences, a partner of the 2019 Sydney Writers’ Festival.

Rebecca Traister: Good and Mad

For as long as women have been angry, men have sought to dismiss them as hormonal, hysterical, irrational, crazy. But fierce females are not a recent phenomenon. Long before #MeToo and the Women’s March, the full force of women’s fury has been weaponized to transform politics around the world.

New York Times best-seller Rebecca Traister explores how the anger of women – from the suffragettes to Pantsuit Nation – has been a catalyst that has changed the course of history.

This is a free event, however, registrations are essential.

UNSW Arts & Social Sciences are a proud major partner of the Sydney Writers’ Festival.

Our partnership with the Sydney Writers’ Festival is built on our commitment to exploring big ideas, creating new knowledge, and tackling critical social issues.
