Event description

Description

When we screened an unfinished version of The Staging Post to a class of Sydney University students a they were so impressed they decided to hold their own screening for friends and family. You are welcome too!

Lorna and her friends have arranged music and food and drinks too so this is going to be a fun night with a lot of youthful energy! The teachers and students will dance with us via Skype in Indonesia and Muzafar will introduce the film.

This is exactly how we hoped the film would work to create connections. This is community in action! Join us.

The Staging Post follows Muzafar and Khadim, two Afghan Hazara refugees, stuck in Indonesia after Australia 'stopped the boats'. Facing many years in limbo they built a community, started a school, changed UN refugee policy and inspired a refugee education revolution.

A film about friendship, connection and the power of community.
