Hello and welcome to Science for Success in the Health Profession!
This short enabling course prepares you for success in university level study for our Health courses at Torrens University Australia.
The modules in this course cover basic topics in biology and maintaining life and will help you meet the “assumed knowledge” for your tertiary study in a broad range of fields. These may include Health Science, Herbal Medicine, Nursing, Naturopathy, Chinese Medicine, Nutrition and more.
Developing your knowledge and study skills in this program can help you build your confidence prior to commencing your further studies or may be used for revision during your course of study.
The interactive sessions will discuss engaging topics and introduce you to the learning experience you will receive at Torrens University Australia. The content of this short course will include:
- The nature of Science for Health
- Basic concepts in Biology
- Maintaining life - the basics of Physiology
You will be guided by your Learning Facilitator, if attending the live classes, and will learn by exploring the sources that are provided to you on the Blackboard, participating in class activities, asking questions, self-assessment and self-feedback.
