Description

Why do we eat when we are full? Do you like ice cream after your main meal, even when you are full? Why do we tend to keep eating food we enjoy despite our gut and brain telling us we are full?

Dr Zhi Yi Ong is a research fellow in the UNSW School of Psychology and studies how the brain interacts with our gut. Her research hopes to identify a brain target that will help us to control how much we eat and reduce our desire for sweet, fatty foods.

This event is part of Inspiring Australia’s Talking Science series as part of Sydney Science Festival in National Science Week.
