What's on the program?

This workshop is an opportunity to have a fresh look at your research and data skills training activities for the 2018 academic year. This workshop is the first in a series of two to be run over the next few months.

This first workshop is focussed on learning styles, training techniques and program planning. The second workshop will focus on content development.

Using case studies, hands-on problem solving, theory and examples, in this workshop we will explore:

  • Why skills are critical to make the most of the Australian eResearch infrastructure investments

  • What motivates Academically Contextualised Adults to learn new skills, new methods, new practices in their research?

  • Developing your end-to-end data skills and support programs.

  • Finding a place for your training and messages in the competitive research landscape

  • How do you know if you are making a difference: evaluating your programs

  • Putting theory into practice: powering up your 2018 data training programs.

Morning tea and light lunch will be provided.
