The Sydney French Open is a tennis competition and fundraising event gathering together the French & Francophile communities in Sydney. The fifth edition will take place at the Eastcourts Tennis Club in Kingsford on October 15 & 16, 2016.
The Open is structured around three key draws:
Men, up to 48 players (SOLD OUT - Waiting list opened),
Women, up to 48 players
Junior (11-17 years old), up to 20 players.
- A double competition is also opened to early rounds loosers
Since its early days, the Open’s main goal has been to support the Redkite / Cure Our Kids, New-Caledonia charity whose mission is to help kids who have been diagnosed with cancer and need to leave New Caledonia to get long term treatment at the Westmead Children Hospital.
The charity coordinator and her team of volunteers provide a wide range of services to families affected by cancer including emotional and logistic support which helps make the kids’ day to day life at the hospital a bit easier.
Cancellation are possible up until 1st October. After that date, registration fee will not be reimbursed.
Participants should expect to play anytime on Oct 15th and 16th and plan their personal agenda accordingly. Registration fee will not be reimbursed in case of "no show"
In case of severe rain forecast, the tournament will be rescheduled on Oct 22nd and 23rd, or Oct 29th and 30th pending weather conditions. We understand this might not be convenient for all players but registration fees will not be reimbursed if participants can't play on these dates. Remember that all proceeds will go to RedKite!
