Event description

Description

Human Centred Design has immense potential for creating exceptional products, services and customer experiences, but it also has the prospect to go wrong. Very wrong.

There is a dark side of design and innovation…

As designers and leaders, we need to make sure the work we’re doing positively impacts our customers, company and community at large. In this keynote presentation by Dr Melis Senova (Huddle’s founder and CEO and a highly regarded pioneer, author and thought leader in Human-Centred Design), we examine the dark side of design and innovation and specific steps to ensure our service and product designs have the intended positive impacts.

Dr Melis Senova’s talk will cover a number of the topics she discusses in her most recent book, This Human. A book for the people who create services and products for people, Stanford d.school are using This Human as a base for their future curriculum. A proven leader with a background in science and engineering, a design PhD and an entrepreneurial spirit, this is not a talk to be missed.

Join us to discover:

  • Hear stories about how well intentioned designs went wrong, why and how to avoid this in your work.
  • Understand the core mindsets and capabilities for effective design.
  • Build your human-centred design and leadership skills.
  • Learn how to assess when ‘good’ designs go ‘bad’ and what to do about it.

We look forward to enjoying a drink with you and other creative and ambitious makers and doers at this talk. Early bird and regular tickets for this event are limited.

Please get in touch if you have any questions. See you soon!

The book reaches out to those who are curious, open-minded and are seeking to become masterful in their craft of designing meaningful alternate realities for humanity. This Human empowers people to maximise the impact of their work by unveiling the mindsets that occur, and need to occur, to ensure this level of impact can be manifested in the world.
