Marg Prendergast
Coordinator General for Transport NSW
Marg is one of the state’s leading thinkers on transport safety, coordination and collaboration. Her previous roles include Operations Planning Manager for the Olympic Roads and Transport Authority for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and General Manager of the NSW Centre for Road Safety.
Marg has taken the lead on communicating openly and honestly with the people of Sydney about the major transformative work across Sydney’s Transport System. In June 2017 she was awarded a Public Service medal in recognition for her diligence, dedication to public service and her significant contribution to society.

Zara Crichton
General Manager of Connect Macquarie Park – North Ryde
Zara is the innovative tripartite Transport Management Associate that brings together City of Ryde, Transport NSW and key stakeholders across Macquarie Park together to focus on sustainable and effective transport solutions. Focussing on mobility as the key driver of a successful economy.
Zara collaborates with world class businesses and institutions to improve mobility options and broaden employer solutions to boost and broaden employer solutions to boost productivity in a congested city. Her professional experience encompasses leading companies such as Macquarie Bank, Consolidated Press Holdings, Warner Bros and Pixar.

Rebecca Edwards
Director Projects & Programs, Sustainable Business Australia
Rebecca is the driving force behind the SBA’s Sustainable Mobility Project. This project is a cross-sector collaboration to lead an Australian business response to the challenges and opportunities of meeting Sydney’s mobility needs more sustainably.
The project’s aim is to explore what sustainable mobility means for Sydney and how business can bring forward solutions that can shape mobility; through collaborative engagement, innovation and new business models.

TRAVELLING TO MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY

There are many different ways to get to Macquarie University. We encourage people to use sustainable methods of travel where possible. There are regular train and bus services extending to areas right across Sydney. If you live within a few kilometres of the campus, cycling and walking are the most healthy, convenient and cheapest ways to travel to Uni.
