WHEN: 5 sessions, Saturdays's 11, 18, 2, February and 4, 11 March 2017
TIME: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
WHERE: Randwick Community Centre, 27 Munda Street, Randwick (turn off Bundock Street into Hendy Avenue then right into Marida Street).
As a follow-up from our leadership program of courses, we are providing a ‘community of practice’ process for you to practice your facilitation skills.
This 5 session series is for those who have completed the Living Smart Train the Trainer, leadership, facilitation, getting the message across, reinvigorating your community group or changeology special course/s. Under the guidance of skilled facilitator, Grahame Collier, we are providing a space for you to practice, and receive feedback so as to improve your facilitation skills. We hope during the course that you will have a chance to deepen your understanding of the art of facilitation and to identify how to facilitate activities with your community group to reinvigorate it. In particular for those people who have completed the Living Smart Train the Trainer course you will have a chance to practice presenting a section of the Living Smart course with your peers in a safe environment in preparation to deliver to the community.
Session 1 – will review the theory and practice of facilitation/presentation and explore the range of interactive activities you could use.
Session 2-5 – will build on those skills we have learnt with participants having a chance to practice their presentation/ facilitation skills and to receive feedback.
In the last session we will finish with a session on how to run a Living Smart session and/or how to facilitate activities to reinvigorate our community group.
It is important that you attend all 5 sessions, this helps us with the timing for each facilitation practice and to have enough people to help out with feedback.
