Looking to get involved in a community project that will make a difference?
We are creating a showcase sustainability education centre in Seven Hills and need your help.
The last Sunday of every month we hold a working bee at the Sustainability Hub where we undertake a range of jobs to help bring our vision to life. Be part of this great project.
Jobs vary each month and could include help with planting and watering, weeding and mulching, compost-turning, coop-cleaning, general site maintenance. We will also be planning and constructing new feature areas including a food forest, and composting workshop space.
Volunteers can earn 200 GreenMoney points by participating
You can earn GreenMoney points by participating in the working bees. Visit https://greenmoney.com.au/Challenges/Details/183 for details.
Please register your attendance so we can contact you with any updates or change of plans, and so we know numbers. Unfortunately this working bee is not suitable for children.

The Sustainable Living Workshop series is run by Sustainable living Blacktown, an initiative of Blacktown City Council.
New workshops are announced on eventbrite, the BlacktownCityCouncil facebook page, and the Council website, and our Sustainable living Blacktown newsletter. Please be aware that bookings open approximately 6-8 weeks in advance of each workshop.
Please note some workshops and events have a fee associated with them to cover material costs and expences. Fees will be listed on the event page. Payment must be made online at the time of booking.
Workshop places are limited. Booking is essential. You must register to attend a workshop either via eventbrite or by calling 9839 6055 during office hours.
Do you live outside the Blacktown City Council area?
Our workshops are heavily subsidised or provided free to residents with costs covered by our ratepayers. Blacktown City residents will get priority over non-residents when booking. If you are a non-resident do not book online, instead please phone us and you will be put on a waitlist. You will be notified before the workshop if there is available space. There may be an additional fee for non-residents.
Workshop changes and cancellations
Some workshops may be postponed due to low numbers, or other circumstances outside of our control. If this happens you will recieve an email notification. A reminder/confirmaiton email is sent 48hours prior to the event to confirm the workshop is going ahead.
Unable to attend or want to cancel your ticket?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend an event so places can be offered to others on a waiting list. You can also cancel your ticked online through eventbrite. Frequent non-attendance at events may result in events being cancelled and individual bookings being refused or given lower priority booking status.
Unless specified, these workshops are not suitable for children under 15yrs.
