Description

This event has currently been suspended and a full refund will be issued for purchased tickets. To help protect our community from coronavirus, all Woollahra Libraries are closed to the public until further notice.

We all know that reading to children from an early age is so important but how do we read in a way that is engaging, captures children's imaginations and fosters a love of literature in years to come?

Join multi award-winning children's author Libby Hathorn as she shares how to read brilliantly to the children or grandchildren in your life and the importance of story for us all. Libby will speak to the creative process involved in writing a book, from the inspiration to publication. Then using some of her own old favourites like Tram to Bondi Beach and A Baby for Loving to her latest No! Never! - Libby will demonstrate the principles of active reading and active listening.

This session is designed for grandparents, parents and caregivers, however young children are welcome.
