Join journalist Judith Hoare as she shares the true story of the little-known mental health pioneer who revolutionised how we see the defining problem of our era: anxiety. In 1962 Dr Claire Weekes published the ground-breaking book 'Self-Help For Your Nerves' which is still in print today. Dismissed at the time by the medical profession as under qualified and overly populist, her research helped develop modern treatments for the illness and aided millions of people around the world overcome depression, loneliness, obsession and guilt. Judith Hoare's book Cracking the Anxiety Code is the first to tell Dr Claire Weekes' remarkable story.

Judith Hoare is a journalist who worked for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and The Australian Financial Review where she was appointed deputy editor in 1995, a position she held for 20 years.
