Artist talk plus 2-day workshop with Tasmanian artist Leonie Oakes. All levels and experience.
Friday evening: Immerse yourself and be inspired by Leonie as she walks through the processes used to create her evocatively printed, embossed and stitched, sculptural paper forms. 6pm Friday.
Day one: wet surface decoration, ink, dye and print
Day two: decorate, folded-stitched forms

Leonie Oakes is a photographer, print maker and book binder who uses a range of traditional and non traditional techniques and processes to create tactile and evocative sculptural forms that defy easy categorization. Her exhibition at 152 Avon Terrace in York runs until the 13th November.
*accommodation comprises a mix of bunks and QS/Double beds across 4 rooms with shared bathroom facilities. Linen is included in the fee but recommend bringing a dressing gown.
