Supporting Your ... 'Sellable' Stories

Writing & Marketing workshop with Campbell Jefferys

This workshop is brought to you by the KSP Writers' Centre with support from the Shire of Mundaring. Tea and coffee provided.

How do you make a living as a writer when there's no money in writing? If you’re good at writing and are willing to think beyond books, there are lots of ways to turn your talent and skill into a decent income. This workshop, run by award-winning author and professional scribe Campbell Jefferys, will cover the many ways a writer can pay the rent and stock the fridge, and even earn a six-figure income – all without ever needing to break into a best-sellers list.

About the Facilitator

A professional writer for over twenty years, Campbell Jefferys is the author of nine books and has written for newspapers and magazines around the world. One of his short stories, ‘Mikelis’, was made into a short film starring James Cosmo, which screened at dozens of festivals through 2016-17. His latest book, ‘Rowan and Eris’, features a CD of original music written and recorded especially for the book. He is also a content creator for some of the world’s biggest brands. Apart from writing, Campbell is a musician and multi-sport athlete. He played high level basketball as a teenager, represented Australia twice at the World Age Group Championships of Triathlon, helped found the Berlin Crocodiles AFL team, and currently plays cricket in Hamburg.

Overflow parking can be found down the gravel driveway to the immediate left of the house (look for the No Thoroughfare sign); please drive down here slowly.
