Supporting the Birthing Journey with Essential Oils
Event Information
Description
Pregnancy and birth are an amazing time when our bodies undergo many changes as we grow our precious baby. It is also a time when we need all the support we can get, both physically and emotionally, and we need to be educated about what therapies are safe to use and how we can use them.
My name is Nat, and as your host, I have been blessed with the life experiences that 5 pregnancies and natural births brings. I am also very passionate about birth - as both a student midwife and soon-to-be-training doula, I am so passionate about women having educated and empowered birthing experiences and have seen first-hand the power that positive birthing experiences can have.
Essential oils can be a beautiful, nurturing and safe way to support your body physiologically as well as supporting your emotions and hormones through this special time. I would love to share my knowledge with you, to nurture you, and to empower you for your journey to motherhood.
During this 3 hour workshop, we will look at:
* oils for common pregnancy complaints,
* oils to support and enhance our hormones for effective labour,
* 'conditioning our brains' to relax to certain aromas,
* oils to manage pain,
* oils to promote healing and positive mood in the postnatal period,
* PLUS some ideas that you could use for your baby too.
Share with me a beautiful healthy lunch - please bring a small plate of nourishing food to share or your own lunch if you prefer.
We will also do a relaxing guided meditation and the opportunity to give each other a gentle hand massage with some beautiful oils. PLUS I want to gift you all a special gift of an emotionally grounding and centering blend that you will pick intuitively that you can take with you into your birth.
I choose to use doTERRA essential oils for their pure elements, and because they are all sourced indigenously and sustainably.
This class is also suitable for health care professionals working with birthing women. Please feel free to bring along your pregnant friends, or anyone you think may benefit from this specialty class. Babes in arms welcome of course.
This workshop is free of charge, but I ask that you bring a plate to share for lunch together, and that if you are no longer able to come, that you please let me know, because spaces are limited.
I hope you can make it to this very special time to love and nourish your baby and your journey to motherhood.
Nat xx
