Description

Who should attend?

NDIA recognises the value and importance our partners, practitioners and community support workers in ensuring participants have the best possible opportunity to apply for the NDIS. This information session is intended to assist General Practitioners, health professionals, mental health specialists and community support workers etc. The NDIS mental health and engagement teams will facilitate this session.

Learning Objectives:

  • Increased understanding of how the NDIS legislation works and is applied. Specifically ‘likely to be permanent’ and ‘substantially reduced functional capacity’.

  • Increased understanding of how to provide evidence to support an NDIS access request.

  • Understanding of how access decisions are made.

  • Increased confidence in talking about/explaining the NDIS access requirements amongst your networks in a consistent and accurate way.

If you do register and are unable to attend please cancel your ticket.
