Supporting Community Wellbeing After Disasters: Approaches & Ways Forward
Overview
Disasters take their toll - it has been a long hard four years for many since the 2022 floods. Supporting community mental health and wellbeing really matters. Join us for learning, sharing, and planning ahead.
- Hear lessons from research undertaken with 4 Northern Rivers community groups on how they've supported communities after 2022
- Share practical, grass roots strategies to support community mental health and wellbeing in tough times
- Connect with key organisations like the Local Health District Disaster Recovery Team, Northern Rivers Community Foundation, Healthy North Coast and Plan C to explore how community groups can play a continuing role in supporting community wellbeing in future disasters
This is a free, catered event. Enjoy lunch together while learning and sharing ideas in person in Lismore.
Can’t make it in person? Join us online and still be part of the discussion.
While we understand this topic area is relevant to other regions, this event is for Northern Rivers based practitioners only so that we have the space to reflect on what works in our context and explore how we can work together in the future.
