About this Event

Supporting Children and Adolescents with PDA - Perth Workshop

This course will provide information on the key features of PDA, how PDA differs from other disorders such as Oppositional Defiance Disorder and Conduct Disorder and how to assess for PDA, access a diagnosis, and provide support. It will also address triggers for behavioural ‘meltdowns’ and how to manage them when they do occur. The importance of self-care for parents, siblings and teachers will be discussed. Finally, the course covers ways to engage young people with PDA in education, therapy and the community. The course is run in an informal and supportive manner and provides plenty of opportunity for discussion and sharing of ideas and experiences.

I am committed to helping people on the autism spectrum to work on their challenges, increase their strengths and to realise their life potential.
